Butterfinger bars are made up of a generous crunchy peanut butter centre with a slightly crumbly consistency. This is then covered in smooth Nestle milk chocolate. The peanut and chocolate combination is always a winner, and of course a mainstay of confectionery in the USA.
The Butterfinger was created in 1923, and is one of the best selling candy bars of its kind, as well as being one of the most exported candy bars from the United States. This could in part be thanks to a fantastic mascot in the form of the one and only Bart Simpson. 150 commercials for Butterfinger have featured the Simpsons, with Bart making slogans such as "Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger!" famous.
